Robert McEroy, Ph.D.

Dr. Robert C. McElroy is an internationally recognized vehicle technical expert specializing in the scientific use of forensic evidence for vehicle failure analysis and to reconstruct transportation and industrial accidents since 1986. He has participated in approximately 1,000 depositions and 100 trials.

His focus is to consistently provide accurate and technically precise analysis and opinions, authoritatively presented depositions, quality trial exhibits, and reliable expert trial testimony.

Truck ReconstructionHe specializes in technical failure analysis related to automobiles, heavy trucks, and all types of industrial vehicles. Dr. McElroy is a triple certified ASE Master Technician in Automobile, Heavy Trucks, Body & Paint. He is a certified accident reconstructionist through ACTAR and was formerly employed by General Motors as a staff technical instructor. His degree areas are Industrial Safety Engineering, Industrial Education, and Industrial Technology.

Vehicle InspectionHe was a member of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s (NHTSA) committee dealing with collision Event Data Recorders (EDR) for both private passenger cars and trucks & busses. Dr. McElroy has worked with the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) involving vehicle crash recorder technology and initiatives. He was both a member and treasurer of the IEEE P1616 Committee developing standards for Motor Vehicle Event Data Recorders. Dr. McElroy is the past Chairman of the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) EDR Committee developing standards and recommended practices for EDR’s.

 

Anthony Gonzales, Esq.

Anthony R. Gonzales is a board certified civil trial lawyer.  Being board certified means that Mr. Gonzales has been recognized by the Florida Bar as having specialized knowledge, skill and proficiency in civil trial law such that he is considered a trial specialist and an expert in the trial of civil cases.  Mr. Gonzales has been a member of the Florida Bar since 2000 after having obtained his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Notre Dame Law School in May of that year. Mr. Gonzales is also licensed to practice law in the U.S. District Court for both the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida. Prior to obtaining his law degree, he graduated cum laude from Florida Atlantic University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in both Political Science and Criminal Justice in 1997. He has served two terms on the Florida Bar’s Civil Procedure Rules Committee from 2005-2010, and helped edit the Damages section of the Florida Bar’s Professional Liability of Lawyers in Florida Manual (4th Edition) 2005-2006. Mr. Gonzales is a member of the Defense Research Institute and is also an adjunct professor at Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad Law Center.  He was recently appointed to the Advisory Board for the Youth Automotive Training Center (YATC), an organization that helps disadvantaged youths in the South Florida community find employment and finish their education.

Mr. Gonzales joined the law firm of Carman, Beauchamp & Sang, P.A. in 2006, and became a named partner in 2013. His main areas of practice include insurance defense, premises liability, products liability, municipal liability, construction and commercial litigation, insurance coverage, wrongful death, breach of contract and automobile negligence.
